Participants' (n=45) shame was strongly associated with trait social anhedonia only when withdrawal coping style was also high, (b=1.12, 95% CI [.52, 1.72], t(41) =3.76, p=.0005). Individuals with low or moderate withdrawal levels showed no relationship between shame and anhedonia.
