Beyond the Feed: Unlocking Maternal Well-Being through Basic Psychological Needs in Lactation Care

This study will investigate the relationship between basic psychological needs being met in lactation care and maternal well-being as measured by depression and self-efficacy. Specifically, this study will examine whether practitioners’ support of mothers’ needs for autonomy, relatedness, and competence are correlated with maternal depression and self-efficacy.
