The Effect of Group-Based Review Sessions on Exam Performance and Course Evaluations

Abstract
Past research shows that "gamified" review sessions are an engaging way to increase student test scores. The present study tested individual- vs. group-based gamified review methods. Contrary to some "gamified" theories, results show that individual-based, gamified review sessions yielded higher exam scores and were more preferred by students.
