Abstract
This study identified four patterns of joint parenting in mothers and fathers of Early Head Start children: 1) intrusiveness in both parents; 2) detach maternal parenting; 3) detached paternal parenting; 4) supportiveness in both parents. Parenting group differences were identified in children’s later academic outcomes, but not social outcomes.
