Event-Related Brain Potentials Reveal Neurological Slowing Following COVID-19 Infection

Abstract
We asked if EEG-based event-related potentials show neural impairment in individuals who report COVID-related worsening of memory, attention, and anxiety/depression(NeuroCOVID, n=35) compared to those with no persisting COVID sequelae(COVID controls, n=13) and pre-pandemic controls(n=84). Neural responses are slowed in both NeuroCOVID and CovidControls, with NeuroCOVID having additional motor slowing.
