Abstract
Compulsive alcohol use (CAU) is the persistent, uncontrolled consumption of alcohol. In a sample of 2004 American adults, ages 22-45, we explored associations between CAU and other psychopathology–finding CAU to be positively associated with ADHD, schizophrenia, and SUD’s (B=.05-.15, p’s<.05).
