Risk and Resilience Factors in Adolescents with Specific Learning Disabilities: Exploring the Relations between Internalizing Behaviors and Emotional Well-Being

Abstract

We examined the relations between emotional well-being (EWB) and internalizing behaviors in 55 adolescents, with and without specific learning disabilities (SLD). Depression and sex significantly predicted EWB, whereas anxiety and SLD did not. Results underscored the school environment as a key mediator, suggesting resilience pathways to enhance EWB.
