The Prediction Error and Reward Learning (PEARL) Task: Pilot Study and Validation of a Novel Measure

This study explored the construct validity of a measure designed to assess changes in reward-outcome predictions following prediction error feedback (N=41, M_age=18.9). The task successfully captured within-subjects changes in reward-outcome predictions following prediction error feedback (ps<0.001). Convergent and divergent validity was supported via correlations with established measures of anhedonia (ps≤0.05).
