Effects of Childhood Trauma on Feelings of Shame in Adult Survivors

This study analyzed the emotional response of childhood trauma in adulthood.The 382 participants (M=25.13; 80% female;17% male) completed the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (Bernstein et al., 1994) and the Trauma-Related Shame Inventory (Oktedalen et al., 2014). Results revealed a relationship between childhood trauma and feelings of guilt as an adult survivor.
