Abstract
We conducted two studies to test if repeated finger flexion movements could increase approach motivation and, consequently, positive affect. The results partially replicated prior research, but the effects were inconsistent and weak. These findings raise further questions about the reliability and robustness of associations between body movements and approach motivation.
