Abstract
Eldest daughters face a unique set of experiences that put unusual pressure and responsibility on them. This study proposes a link between being the eldest daughter of an immigrant family and higher levels of stress, anxiety, and pessimism. It will evaluate the theory of “eldest daughter syndrome”, among other factors.
