Abstract
We explored the nuanced etiology of loss of behavioral control over alcohol use through investigating its relationship to childhood trauma, race, and perceived stress in a diverse sample (n=1,303). We found that perceived stress mediated the relationship between childhood trauma and loss of behavioral control across racial groups.
