Accurately Perceiving My Body and Emotions: Alexithymia Moderates the Relationship between Interoceptive Awareness and Intuitive Eating

The proposed research will examine if the link between intuitive eating (relying on physical cues to guide eating) and interoceptive awareness (ability to understand internal, body sensations) may be moderated by alexithymia (emotional blindness). A convenience sample will complete validated self-reports and correlations and the hypothesized interaction will be tested.
