Validation of a Low-Cost EEG Headband for Language ERP Research

This study examined whether the Muse 2, a low-cost dry EEG headband, is capable of successfully measuring language-related ERPs, specifically the N400 effect. 35 participants completed a semantic relatedness judgment task. Robust t-tests indicated a significant increased negativity for unrelated compared to related word pairs between 300 and 500 ms.
