Abstract

We investigated how the experimenter’s native language and word-context influences vocabulary production in bilingual children. Results show that the language of the experimenter significantly influenced children’s vocabulary production. Importantly, there was a significant interaction with the language children used and word context. Experimenter’s characteristics should not be overlooked in research.
