A Comparative Investigation of Supports and Barriers for the Utilization of Early Childhood Learning Services for Black and White Families in Georgia

Abstract
We investigated disproportionate access to early intervention and early childhood special education through semi-structured interviews with caregivers (N = 27). These reports uncovered differences in support by caregiver race at individual, organizational, and interpersonal levels. Data specifically revealed differences in barriers by race at the community level.
