Using a Cluttered Environment to Test the Effects of Distraction on Complex Span

Previous research highlights the effects of distractions on task performance (e.g., Nicholson et al., 2005). The proposed experiment will expand this area of research by testing whether clutter affects sentence span accuracy and response time. Individual differences in attention control and hoarding tendencies will also be considered.
