Abstract
The gender pay-gap is a controversial topic. We examined gender differences in gender pay-gap scepticism (PGS) as a form of motivated reasoning and whether wise-reasoning can attenuate these differences. Two studies (N=651) revealed men's greater PGS, countered by wise-reasoning. We suggest wise-reasoning can help mitigating PGS and promoting gender equality.
