Abstract
The current study examines whether changes in several emotion regulation characteristics predict changes in depression and anxiety symptoms in first year college students during their transition to campus. Results indicate that increases in self-blame, high baseline rumination, and high baseline blaming of others predicted greater increases in internalizing symptoms.
