If Negative Coping Hurts, Why Doesn’t Positive Coping Help?: Caregiver Burden, Coping Strategies and State-Trait Anxiety Among Those Responsible for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

I investigated the well-being of caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities and the interventions caregivers take to cope with their related responsibilities. There were 101 participants (88 Females, M_age=51.33). There was a high, significant correlation between caregiver burden and anxiety, and there were significant correlations between maladaptive coping and anxiety.
