Changes in Network of Momentary Interpersonal Dynamics in Psychotherapy

This study examined the network of associations between patients’ and therapists’ moment-to-moment behaviors in psychotherapy. We found systematic changes such that therapeutic progress can be captured as a transition from patient influencing therapist to therapist influencing patient at a micro-level after about 4 to 6 months of weekly therapy.
