Abstract
College students with low and high experience in engineering view integrated and separated multimedia lessons. We measure whether spatial contiguity (distance between corresponding text and images) and expertise level influence eye movements and learning outcomes. Specifically, we investigate number of integrative saccades—eye movements that transition between text and images.
