The Impact of Lapses in Coherence on Student’s Mind Wandering in a Cumulative Lesson

Abstract

College students will watch a science lesson divided into three unmarked sections. The experimental group will experience a lapse in lesson coherence during the second section. We expect to find more mind wandering during the lapse and a cascading effect into section three since the lesson will build upon itself.
