Abstract

Participants in a 12-week stress management program received tailored stress-reduction coaching. In the physical activity group, higher body awareness predicted reduced perceived stress; in the cognitive restructuring group, however, lower body awareness predicted reduced perceived stress. Effective stress management thus requires a precision medicine-based approach that considers individuals’ risk profiles.
