Parent-Child Talk: Textless Picture Book Readings and Child Cognitive Development

Abstract

A child’s home learning environment is influential and predicts their success in many domains. This correlational study will examine the relationship between early learning environment and children’s cognition via parent-child shared textless picture book (TPB) readings. A positive correlation is expected between parent-child talk during TPB and child cognitive development.
