Perception As a Continuous Process: Remembering, Perceiving, and Predicting Events

Abstract
Events are not perceived as segments of time but as motions within the environment. Participants will watch baseball and pinball videos with pauses embedded where they predict outcomes of the movement of the ball, and complete an event segmentation task. We predict shorter pause latency will produce more accurate predictions.
