Abstract

We examined how emotional regulation and social media motives mediated insecure attachment and social media usage. Only anxious attachment predicted social media usage and stalking. Escapism and validation fully mediated the relationship between anxious attachment and addiction, whereas escapism and validation partially mediated the relationship between anxious attachment and stalking.
