Abstract
I studied the relationships between gender, cultural socialization, and academic achievement. There were 66 participants (35 females, Mage = 12.59). This study focused on African American middle schoolers. The data did not support that girls that experience cultural socialization will have higher academic achievement than boys that experienced cultural socialization.
