Abstract
Among 88 healthy participants (Mage=21.2), social anxiety (SA) was associated with better facial emotion recognition. Moreover, the increase in using an eye-centered viewing strategy due to masks was associated with a larger increase in false alarms in high SA participants while an opposite pattern was found in low SA participants.
