Abstract
We investigated dyadic effects of other- and self-oriented autonomous and controlled motivation on health behaviors amongst 199 couples. We found that Partner A's greater other-oriented autonomous motivation (O-OAM) was associated with greater physical activity in Partner B and that greater O-OAM in males was associated with healthier eating in females.
