Discrimination and Wellbeing Among LGBTQ+ Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Data collected on n = 147 unhoused youth (ages 16 – 24) indicate that LGBTQ + youth experienced more racial, gender, and housing discrimination and mental health symptoms (suicidality, PTSD and self-harm) than their heteronormative counterparts.  Youth identifying as transgender/non-conforming were most at risk for poor mental health.
