Profiles of Childhood Maltreatment and Bullying Victimization and Their Associations with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms in Chinese College Students: The Mediating Role of Self-Compassion

Childhood maltreatment and bullying victimization were identified five profiles among 5231 Chinese college students (2171 Males, M_age=19.4). Compared with the “low-risk” group, positive and negative self-compassion exerted stronger mediating functions in the “severe maltreatment”, “bullying victimization”, and “doubly disadvantaged” groups but a full mediating role in the “neglect” group.
