All Your Troubles Seem so Far Away: Consequences of Reappraisal-Based Emotion Regulation in Interpersonal Contexts

I designed a study assessing reappraisal in interpersonal contexts, categorizing emotion regulation episodes by negative event type (shared vs. one-sided) and reappraisal application (both sides vs. one side). Reappraisal is deemed adaptive when the event is shared or both sides engage, but maladaptive when one-sided or only the support-provider reappraises.
