Abstract

We investigated the diurnal variation of reward processing using the RewP (an ERP component) in 201 participants (Mage = 20.81). Results showed a quadratic effect of time of day, with RewP amplitude peaking in late afternoon/early evening, suggesting an influence of time of day on neural reward processing.
