Dispositional Mindfulness Improves Implicit Learning Under Cognitive Depletion

Abstract

We compared the effects of a mindfulness exercise and a dual working-memory task on implicit learning in 28 meditation-naive participants. The two interventions had similar effects. However, individuals with higher dispositional mindfulness exhibited greater improvements in implicit learning, especially after their cognitive resources had been depleted.
