Abstract
This study addresses elevated mental health risks in LGBTQ teens, emphasizing stigma and proposing the Socially Oriented Media (SOM) Buffering Perspective. Using the ABCD Study, it explores SOM's impact, revealing that increased time on social apps buffers suicidal ideation and mental health concerns, but only without the presence of cyberbullying.
