Abstract
We tested if affectionless or neglectful parenting was associated with supportive dyadic coping in 853 young adults and if self-compassion mediated this association. Supportive dyadic coping differed by parenting style (F = 13.63, p <.001) and was partially mediated by self-compassion (Indirect effect = .071; 95% CI: .019, .131).
