Reciprocal Relationship between Caregiver Anxiety and Infant Anxiety: Evidence from NICHD-Seccyd Study

Abstract
Utilizing NICHD-SECCYD data (533 boys, 495 girls), current study analyzed child and maternal factors influencing infants’ anxiety/depression at 24 and 36 months. Findings indicate significant gender differences, with maternal stress and depression impacting boys more. Key predictors included maternal sensitivity and children's temperament.
