Abstract
Can harmful attitudes be changed more easily with intervention over time than in one fell swoop? In a week-long experiment, counterattitudinal information more effectively changed impressions of a stigmatized individual when spaced over several days than when consumed in one sitting. Results may inform the design of bias interventions.
