Abstract
In a young adult sample (N=316), disorganized/punitive and mutually hostile attachment stances with mothers, and disorganized and affective caregiving stances with fathers were positively associated with loneliness. The former stances were related to poorer friendship quality. Affective caregiving mediated the relations between disorganized and caregiving stances towards fathers and loneliness.
