Development of a Video Survey to Enhance Learning and Retention of Effective Teaching Practices

To prepare effective educators, it is important that they retain and transfer information they learned during their training. Cognitive psychology research suggests several strategies for doing so, including contextual learning and retrieval practice. The development and effectiveness of a video survey for trainees that incorporates these cognitive strategies are described.
