Childhood Physical Abuse and Emotional Neglect Predict Different Types of Sexual Response Disruptions in Adults

Our study examined the link between childhood maltreatment and adult sexual response cycle disruptions. Findings indicate significant associations between maltreatment and disruptions in arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and satisfaction for women, and a trend regarding premature ejaculation for men. The results underscore the enduring impact of early abuse on sexual health.
