Abstract

We examined working memory (WM) as a predictor of academic functioning. The sample was youth with and without ADHD (N=230) followed prospectively. Results suggested that WM predicted adolescent math and reading achievement, but not school competency. These findings support WM as an intervention target to enhance youth academic success.
