Creation and Validation of the Japanese Version of the Explanation for the Gender Income Gap Scale

We translated the Explanations of the Gender Income Gap scale into Japanese and validated the measure with 212 participants. Factor analysis revealed that two items from the unfair explanations subscale were not strongly loaded. This is likely due to differences in the relevancy of contextually Eurocentric understandings of gender inequality.
