Abstract
Based on existing models of perceived reparability in episodic shame experiences, we proposed a model of trait shame-proneness wherein self-efficacy and avoidance orientation mediate the relationship between shame-proneness and resiliency. Most hypotheses were supported in an mTurk sample of 299 adults.
