The Hope and Goals of Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Abstract
The sample was comprised of 100 youth experiencing homelessness (Mage= 21.95). The most common goals identified were for basic needs, followed by career goals and academic goals. Participants with high dispositional hope had more goal-specific hope. The results highlight the unique challenges faced by unhoused youth and corroborates Hope Theory.
