Assessment of Clinical-Related Misconceptions, Methodological Reasoning, and Scientific Skepticism

We report assessment results using a new measure, the Test of Clinical Knowledge and Misconceptions (TOCKAM). As predicted, senior psychology majors scored significantly higher than beginning majors on the TOCKAM and on a scientific reasoning test, but not on a measure of scientific skepticism. All three measures were positively intercorrelated.
