Abstract
We tested the relation between cortical myelination of the posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) and trauma-related symptoms in 31 trauma-exposed women (mean age =21.1; SD= 2.8), using structural MRI and the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale. PCC myelination was negatively associated with intrusive symptoms (Kendall’s Tau =-0.3, p= 0.04), large effect size.
