Attitudes Toward Prisoners and Sex Crimes Affect Views of Victim Impact and Egregiousness

Our research examined how attitudes toward sex crimes and prisoners predict participants' views of the victim impact of a sex offense and their views of the egregiousness of a sexual assault. We found that participants' attitudes only affected their view of the crime when the offender was a woman.
