Abstract

The present study examined the relationship between discrimination, thoughts of self-harm, and depression. With n = 422, Spearman’s correlation revealed a positive correlation between perceived discrimination and depression, r(342), .273, p < .001. However, there was a negative correlation between perceived discrimination and self-harm, r(550), -.203, p < .001.
